**WASHINGTON** – Former President Donald Trump’s transition team is reportedly preparing a blacklist of potential officials for his next administration, targeting those associated with the controversial “Project 2025” plan, according to sources familiar with the matter.
The initiative, spearheaded by Trump’s son Donald Jr., seeks to bar individuals with connections to the Heritage Foundation document, which outlines an ambitious agenda for overhauling the U.S. government. The 922-page document, originally championed by the Trump campaign, was later disavowed by Trump himself after polling indicated its unpopularity with voters.
The blacklist aims to exclude individuals who contributed to the document, including those who resigned in protest of the January 6th Capitol riot. Individuals perceived as disloyal to the former president will also be excluded.
Trump’s transition co-chair, Howard Lutnick, has emphasized the need for “fidelity” to the former president and his agenda, labeling the Heritage Foundation “radioactive” due to its involvement with “Project 2025.”
