Thu Oct 17 19:20:00 UTC 2024: ## Tim Walz Steps Up Attacks on Trump, Embraces Aggressive Campaign Strategy
**GREEN BAY, Wis.** – Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz has ramped up his campaign efforts, adopting a more aggressive strategy following his recent debate with Republican nominee JD Vance.
Walz, who previously kept a lower profile after joining the ticket, is now making more frequent appearances on television and in swing states, delivering sharp attacks against former President Donald Trump. He has even started incorporating his signature flannel into his public appearances, a move seemingly aimed at appealing to rural voters.
“Donald Trump, over the weekend, was talking about using the U.S. Army against people who disagree with him,” Walz said. “He called it the enemy within, and to Donald Trump, anybody who doesn’t agree with him is the enemy. We need to whip his butt and put this guy behind us.”
Walz has also repeatedly criticized Trump’s age, portraying him as unfit for office. This week, Walz suggested Trump’s failure to release his medical records was due to forgetfulness.
“If this was your grandfather, you would take the keys away,” Walz said, referencing Trump’s recent town hall event in Pennsylvania where he opted to play music instead of answering questions.
This shift towards a more aggressive approach aligns with the Harris-Walz campaign’s pledge to become more vocal following the debate. Walz, who initially avoided media engagements, is now appearing on multiple local television and radio programs, podcasts, and even late-night shows.
“I wish this thing wasn’t so close,” Walz said during a recent fundraiser. “As my wife says, quit wishing about it and do the work.”
The campaign’s newfound energy seems to be fueled by the close race and a desire to mobilize voters ahead of the election.
