Thu Oct 17 20:56:09 UTC 2024: ## New Zealand Bowling Attack Dismantles India for Record Low Score in 1st Test

**Hyderabad, India:** New Zealand pacer Matt Henry celebrated a five-wicket haul on Thursday, playing a key role in bowling out India for a paltry 46 runs, their lowest Test innings total at home. The incredible performance left the Indian team reeling on day two of the first test.

Henry, who also praised his teammate William O’Rourke’s four-wicket haul, stressed the importance of maintaining the pressure on India for the remainder of the match. “It’s a pretty special achievement to get a fifer in India. But we can’t be complacent and we’ve got to keep mounting pressure on them,” said Henry.

O’Rourke, who has been a revelation in the series, effectively utilized his height and bounce to disrupt the Indian batsmen, particularly against right-handed batters.

The New Zealand bowlers were also aided by exceptional fielding, with Ajaz Patel, Devon Conway, and Henry himself pulling off crucial catches.

Henry admitted that New Zealand would have also chosen to bat first had they won the toss, echoing the sentiments of Indian captain Rohit Sharma who admitted to misjudging the pitch conditions.

The dominant performance by New Zealand has put them in a commanding position in the first Test, with a significant lead over India. It remains to be seen if India can recover from this devastating blow and mount a comeback in the match.
