**MOBILE, Ala.** – Country music star Morgan Wallen has announced plans for a three-day music festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama, called “Sand In My Boots,” slated for May 2025. The festival promises a lineup featuring Wallen alongside his closest friends, favorite artists, and other performers he’s long admired.
Wallen envisions the festival as a unique experience, choosing the producers and on-site staff from Hangout Fest, a renowned music festival previously held in Gulf Shores, to bring his vision to life. This partnership, described as a “match made in heaven,” means the traditional Hangout Fest will not be taking place in 2025.
While some fans, like photographer Kylie Scioneaux, who has attended Hangout Fest annually since 2018, expressed disappointment at the shift in genre, they remain hopeful for the new festival. Scioneaux acknowledged the abundance of country music events in the South, but also stressed the need for diverse genres. She plans to attend “Sand In My Boots” while hoping for a unique experience.
