Thu Oct 17 19:30:00 UTC 2024: ## Former Olympic Snowboarder Wanted for Alleged Cocaine Trafficking and Murders
**Toronto, Canada -** Ryan Wedding, a former Canadian Olympic snowboarder who competed in the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Games, is wanted by the FBI for allegedly running an international cocaine trafficking operation that resulted in multiple murders.
Wedding, who used aliases including “El Jefe,” “Giant,” and “Public Enemy,” is accused of directing the murders of an Indian couple in Caledon, Ontario, in November 2023. The victims, Jagtar Singh Sidhu and Harbhajan Kaur Sidhu, were killed in their home, along with their daughter who was critically injured.
The U.S. Department of Justice alleges that Wedding, along with Andrew Clark, 34, orchestrated the murders as retaliation for a stolen drug shipment that passed through Southern California. The pair are also accused of ordering the murder of another victim in May 2024 over a drug debt.
Clark was arrested by Mexican authorities on October 8th while residing in Mexico, where both he and Wedding were located. The FBI is currently searching for Wedding.
The charges against Wedding and Clark stem from an ongoing investigation into a large-scale cocaine trafficking operation, in which they, along with 14 other individuals, are alleged to have conspired to ship hundreds of kilograms of Colombian cocaine from California to Ontario.
“An Olympic athlete-turned-drug lord is now charged with leading a transnational organized crime group that engaged in cocaine trafficking and murder, including of innocent civilians,” said U.S. Attorney Martin Estrada.
The investigation is ongoing and authorities continue to pursue all individuals involved in this criminal enterprise.
