**New Delhi, October 18, 2023:** Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Russia from October 22nd to 23rd to attend the 16th edition of the BRICS Summit in Kazan, at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The Ministry of External Affairs announced this in an official statement, highlighting that the summit will serve as a crucial platform for leaders to discuss key global issues.

“The summit will provide a valuable opportunity to review the progress of initiatives launched by BRICS and identify potential areas for future cooperation,” the statement said.

During his visit, Prime Minister Modi is expected to hold bilateral meetings with leaders from other BRICS member countries and invited guests in Kazan.
