**New Delhi:** The results for the CSIR-UGC NET exam conducted from August 21st to September 4th are expected to be released today. Over nine lakh candidates are eagerly awaiting the results, which can be accessed at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
The results pertain to the June term exam. While results are usually declared within a month of the exam, the HRDG- CSIR released information about the declaration date late, causing anxiety among students and faculty alike.
The CSIR-UGC NET is a national eligibility test for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and lectureship/assistant professor positions in science subjects. The exam is conducted jointly by the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) and the University Grants Commission (UGC) through the National Testing Agency (NTA). The exam covers five subjects: Chemical Sciences, Earth Atmosphere Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences.
Candidates who qualify for JRF will receive a monthly stipend of ₹37,000 for the first two years and ₹42,000 from the third year onwards upon securing admission to research programs at recognized institutions.
