Fri Oct 18 15:16:09 UTC 2024: ## UGC NET June 2024 Results Announced: Over 1.12 Lakh Candidates Qualify for PhD

**New Delhi, October 18, 2024:** The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the results for the UGC NET June 2024 examination today. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now access their results and download their scorecards from the official NTA website: ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

A total of 11,21,225 candidates registered for the UGC NET June 2024 exam, out of which 6,84,224 candidates appeared. A total of 4,970 candidates qualified for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), while 53,694 candidates qualified for the Assistant Professor post only. Additionally, 1,12,070 candidates qualified for PhD programs only.

**How to Check Your UGC NET Result:**

* Visit the official NTA website: ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
* Click on the “UGC NET June 2024 Result” link.
* Enter your application number and date of birth.
* Your result will be displayed on the screen.

**Important Details:**

* The UGC NET 2024 cut-off scores for Assistant Professor and JRF have also been released along with the results.
* Candidates can download the subject-wise cut-off scores from the official NTA website.

**Next Steps:**

* Candidates who have qualified for JRF will be eligible for admission to PhD programs based on an interview conducted by UGC.
* Candidates who have qualified for Assistant Professor will be eligible to apply for the position in various universities and colleges across the country.

The NTA conducted the UGC NET June 2024 examination in 83 subjects across 280 cities in India over 11 days in 21 shifts. The exam was held from August 27 to September 5, 2024.
