Wed Oct 16 23:30:00 UTC 2024: ## Travis Kelce Makes Hilarious Debut as Game Show Host on “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?”
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has traded in his football helmet for a game show host’s microphone, premiering his new Prime Video series, “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?” The show, a fun twist on the classic “Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?” format, puts contestants to the test with questions ranging from first to sixth-grade level, with the chance to win a $100,000 prize.
Kelce’s hosting debut has been met with laughter and lighthearted jabs from the celebrity panel, including comedian Nikki Glaser, who poked fun at his relationship with pop star Taylor Swift, “Do you have any motivational speech for Travis? Cause his life is, like, not going great,” Glaser joked, referencing Kelce’s career and love life.
But Kelce, despite his admitted nerves, embraced the lighthearted teasing and even made a few jokes of his own. In one episode, he told a contestant, “You’ve been killing it. This is your Super Bowl,” before joking, “And I’ve never played this well in a Super Bowl.”
Despite his initial apprehension about hosting, Kelce, a lifelong game show fan, reportedly had a blast filming the show. “I never in a million years thought I was ever going to be an actual host of a game show,” he said.
“Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?” boasts a star-studded celebrity panel featuring comedians Nikki Glaser, Natasha Leggero, Nicole Byer, and Ron Funches, as well as actress Lilly Singh, NFL analyst Ryan Fitzpatrick, and reality TV stars Garcelle Beauvais and Lala Kent.
New episodes of “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?” premiere Wednesdays on Prime Video.
