**Lumding, Assam:** A train accident occurred in Assam on Thursday morning, causing the derailment of eight coaches, including the power car and engine, of the Agartala-Lokmanya Tilak Express. The incident took place at Dibalong station on the Lumding-Badarpur Hill section, falling under the Lumding division.

While the derailment caused significant disruption, thankfully, no casualties were reported. Passengers onboard the train experienced a sudden jolt but were unharmed.

Following the accident, railway officials and police teams were immediately dispatched from Lumding to the accident site to assess the situation and initiate rescue and relief operations.

Train operations on the Lumding-Badarpur single-line section have been suspended following the derailment. Further investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.
