**Mumbai, India** – Nikita Porwal, hailing from Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, has been crowned Femina Miss India 2024. The prestigious event, marking the 60th edition of India’s iconic beauty pageant, took place at Famous Studios in Mumbai.

Porwal emerged victorious after a fierce competition amongst 30 state winners, representing all 29 states and one Union Territory. Her outstanding performance secured her the crown and the opportunity to represent India at the upcoming Miss World pageant.

The Grand Finale saw Nandini Gupta, the Femina Miss India World 2023 winner, crown Porwal, while renowned Bollywood actress Neha Dhupia presented her with the Miss India sash.

Porwal, a graduate of Carmel Convent Senior Secondary School and currently pursuing higher education at Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, is a passionate artist with extensive experience in theatre, having performed in over 60 plays. She is also a writer, having penned a 250-page play titled “Krishna Leela.” Beyond her theatrical endeavors, she is a dedicated animal welfare advocate, actively engaging in initiatives that promote animal rights.

The 60th edition of Femina Miss India saw a nationwide talent hunt through on-ground auditions, culminating in the selection of 30 state winners who underwent rigorous training at a pageant boot camp. To commemorate this milestone, the Miss India Organization unveiled a music anthem titled “Rise of Queen,” celebrating the empowerment and achievements of women across India. The anthem is now available on all streaming platforms.
