Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark etched her name in WNBA history Wednesday, becoming the first rookie since Candace Parker in 2008 to be named to the All-WNBA First Team. Clark, the league’s Rookie of the Year, received 52 first-team votes and was on 66 of 67 ballots submitted by a national media panel. She joins an elite group of rookies who have achieved this honor, including Sue Bird, Tamika Catchings, and Diana Taurasi.
Clark’s exceptional rookie campaign saw her start all 40 regular-season games for the Fever, averaging 19.2 points, a league-leading 8.4 assists, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game. She also led the WNBA with 122 three-pointers, helping the Fever reach the playoffs for the first time since 2016.
Clark’s historic achievement was shared with other notable players. Las Vegas Aces’ A’ja Wilson, the league’s unanimous MVP, earned a spot on the first team for the third consecutive season and fourth time overall. Minnesota Lynx’s Napheesa Collier, a three-time All-WNBA selection, was voted to the first team for the second straight year. Breanna Stewart (New York Liberty) and Alyssa Thomas (Connecticut Sun) rounded out the All-WNBA First Team.
The All-WNBA Second Team features a strong lineup of Sabrina Ionescu (Liberty), Kahleah Copper (Phoenix Mercury), Nneka Ogwumike (Seattle Storm), Arike Ogunbowale (Dallas Wings), and Jonquel Jones (Liberty).
