**DAMBULLA, SRI LANKA** – Sri Lanka stormed back into the T20 series against West Indies with a resounding 73-run victory in the second match, leveling the three-match series at 1-1.

Debutant Dunith Wellalage spearheaded the Sri Lankan triumph, claiming three wickets in his maiden appearance. He dismissed Brandon King, Andre Fletcher, and Roston Chase, all for single-digit scores, ultimately finishing with figures of 3 for 9.

Sri Lanka, batting first after winning the toss, posted a competitive 162-5, with Pathum Nissanka leading the charge with a 54-run knock. Kusal Mendis (26) and Kusal Perera (24) also contributed valuable runs.

The West Indies batting lineup faltered in reply, failing to cope with the spin-friendly pitch. They were bowled out for a paltry 89 runs in the 17th over, their lowest T20 score against Sri Lanka.

Spinners Maheesh Theekshana, Charith Asalanka, and Wanindu Hasaranga also chimed in with two wickets each, suffocating the West Indies batting.

The third and decisive match of the series will be held at the same venue on Thursday.
