**Manchester, England:** Kamran Ghulam, a 28-year-old making his debut for Pakistan, stole the spotlight on day one of the second Test against England with a stunning century. Ghulam, who replaced the dropped Babar Azam, scored 118 runs, rescuing Pakistan from a shaky start and helping them reach 259/3 at stumps.
Pakistan were struggling at 19/2 early on, with captain Shan Masood dismissed for just 3 runs. However, Ghulam, batting at number four, formed a crucial 149-run partnership with fellow debutant Saud Shakeel. He reached his century off just 151 balls, becoming only the second oldest player in Pakistan’s history to score a century on debut.
