**New Delhi:** The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that the online registration window for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) December 2024 closes tonight at 11:59 pm. Candidates who haven’t yet applied are urged to submit their forms on the official website, ctet.nic.in, before the deadline.
The exam, initially scheduled for December 1st, has been rescheduled to **Saturday, December 14th**. The change was made to avoid clashes with other state-level examinations.
“Keeping in view the interests of the candidates, it has been decided to conduct the CTET examination on December 14th, 2024 (Saturday),” said a CBSE spokesperson.
The test will be conducted across 136 cities nationwide, and will be divided into two papers. Paper 2 will be held in the morning shift (9:30 am to 12 pm), followed by Paper 1 in the afternoon shift (2:30 pm to 5 pm).
Candidates belonging to the General and OBC-NCL categories will need to pay ₹1,000 for one paper and ₹1,200 for both papers. The application fee for SC, ST, and Differently-abled candidates is ₹500 for one paper and ₹600 for both papers.
