**Mumbai, India** – The brutal murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique has sent shockwaves through Maharashtra’s political landscape and Bollywood. The notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang is under intense scrutiny, with authorities investigating their potential involvement in the assassination.
India Today has gained exclusive access to NIA documents revealing chilling details about Bishnoi’s hit-list, compiled during his interrogation while incarcerated.
**Salman Khan Targeted for Revenge**
One of Bishnoi’s primary targets is Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. Bishnoi seeks revenge for Khan’s involvement in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case, considered sacrilegious by the Bishnoi community. NIA records reveal that Bishnoi sent his associate, Sampat Nehra, to survey Khan’s Mumbai residence, but the plan was thwarted when Nehra was apprehended by Haryana’s Special Task Force.
In a more recent incident in April 2024, gunmen fired shots at Khan’s home, though no one was harmed.
**Other Targets in Sight**
The hit-list also includes:
* **Shaganpreet Singh:** Manager of slain Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala. Bishnoi believes Singh sheltered the killers of his close associate, Vicky Middukhera, who was murdered in August 2021.
* **Mandeep Dhariwal:** A key aide to fugitive gangster Gaurav Padial (alias Lucky Padial), leader of the Davinder Bambiha gang. Dhariwal, accused of aiding Middukhera’s killers, was shot dead in the Philippines.
* **Kaushal Chaudhary:** A notorious gangster currently in jail, linked to the Bambiha gang. He was accused of supplying weapons to Middukhera’s assassins.
* **Amit Dagar:** A jailed gangster and associate of Chaudhary, also implicated in the Middukhera murder.
**Bishnoi Gang’s Rise to Power**
The revelations highlight the growing threat posed by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. With over 700 shooters across 11 states, their criminal empire is said to be expanding rapidly.
Police are investigating Siddique’s killing as a contract hit, adding another layer to the gang’s operations, which have been likened to the infamous Dawood Ibrahim syndicate. The escalating violence linked to the Bishnoi gang raises serious concerns about the future of security in India.
