The Indiana Pacers will kick off their 2024-25 preseason at home tonight, welcoming the Memphis Grizzlies and former Purdue star Zach Edey to Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Edey, who starred for the Boilermakers last season, impressed in his most recent preseason outing, recording 15 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 blocks in a Grizzlies win over the Chicago Bulls.
Fans in Indianapolis will be eager to see Edey back in Indiana, but will also be missing several key Pacers players for the game. Tyrese Haliburton, Pascal Siakam, Aaron Nesmith, and T.J. McConnell will all sit out due to rest and injury management. Rookie wing Johnny Furphy will also miss his third consecutive game with an ankle injury.
Despite the absences, the Pacers are excited to start their preseason journey with a home game against a tough opponent in the Grizzlies.
The game tips off at 7 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on 93.5 and 107.5 FM in Indianapolis.
