**HYDERABAD:** A legal battle is brewing between Singapore-based consultancy firm Meinhardt and BRS leader Manne Krishank. Meinhardt has issued a legal notice to Krishank, accusing him of making false and defamatory claims about the company’s involvement in the Musi Riverfront Development Project (MRDP).
The notice alleges that Krishank’s statements have damaged Meinhardt’s reputation and were motivated by personal vendetta. Meinhardt demands that Krishank retract his statements, remove the offensive posts from social media within 24 hours, and issue a public apology. The firm has warned of legal action if Krishank fails to comply.
Krishank, in response, has refused to back down. He stated on X that he will not delete his tweets regarding Meinhardt or the Musi contract. He further stated that he has discussed the matter with BRS Working President KT Rama Rao and the party’s legal cell will respond to the notice.
Krishank has raised questions about Meinhardt’s history, alleging that Pakistan issued a red warrant against the company in a Rs 3,000 crore money laundering case. He also claimed that the Airport Authority of India has debarred Meinhardt.
The BRS leader has asserted that he will not be intimidated by legal threats or police cases, and the party will continue to raise questions about Meinhardt’s involvement in the project.
The legal dispute highlights the growing tension between the BRS and Meinhardt, with the party questioning the company’s credentials and the firm accusing the leader of defamation.
