The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the schedule for the upcoming three-match ODI series between India and New Zealand women’s teams. The series is scheduled to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad during the last week of October.

The series, which will be played after the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, will commence on 24th October and conclude on 29th October. All three matches will be day-night encounters.

While the Indian women’s squad for the series is yet to be announced, it is expected to be declared in the coming days. India will be playing their first ODI series after a gap of four months, their last being a 3-0 victory against South Africa at home.

This will be India’s third consecutive ODI series at home, having previously hosted Australia in December-January. The Indian team, currently ranked third in the ODI rankings, will be looking to bounce back from their disappointing 0-3 loss to Australia. New Zealand, ranked fifth, will be looking to upset the hosts.

Meanwhile, India is currently participating in the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 in UAE. They have already played their group stage matches, losing to Australia and New Zealand, while defeating Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Their chances of reaching the semi-finals are now slim.
