**Kushinagar, October 12, 2024:** The Kushinagar unit of the Information Rights Association celebrated the 19th anniversary of the Right to Information Act on Saturday at the district headquarters in Ravindra Nagar. The celebration was marked by paying tributes to freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Chandra Shekhar Azad, and Rabindranath Tagore, followed by exchanging sweets.

Addressing the gathering, Arun Kumar Singh, the Mandal President of the association from the Gorakhpur region, assured the members that he would always stand with them as a vigilant guardian, safeguarding their dignity and ensuring their rights are upheld.

Manoj Kumar Rao, who conducted the event, emphasized the importance of the Right to Information Act 2005 as a powerful tool for the underprivileged sections of society. He encouraged every Indian citizen to use it to fight corruption and demand their rights.

Geeta Singh Rajput, a prominent female representative, expressed her unwavering commitment to supporting women’s participation in the organization and ensuring their well-being. She highlighted the role of women in strengthening the organization.

Other prominent figures who addressed the event included Dharma Raj Yadav, the Tehsil Sadar President from Deoria district, and journalist Imamudeen.

The event was attended by several association members and officials, including Dr. Fakhre Alam, Mandal Vice President from Gorakhpur, Akbar Ali, District Vice President, Ram Pratap Singh, District General Secretary, Alok Upadhyay, District Media In-charge, Dr. Murari Lal Srivastava, Vijay Bahadur Kushwaha, Sanjay Kushwaha, and Shambhu Yadav.
