**SHANGHAI -** Italy’s Jannik Sinner, the world’s top-ranked player, triumphed over 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic in the Shanghai Masters final on Sunday. Sinner secured a 7-6 (7/4), 6-3 victory, denying Djokovic his 100th career singles title.
The match, which was played before a passionate crowd, remained fiercely contested throughout the first set, with neither player able to break the other’s serve.
