Sun Oct 13 09:50:41 UTC 2024: ## Congress Slams RSS, Accuses Organization of Seeking Uniformity in India

**Nagpur, October 12, 2024:** The Congress party has launched a scathing attack on the RSS following Mohan Bhagwat’s Vijayadashami address, accusing the organization of attempting to homogenize India and asserting that its plans will fail.

Addressing the annual RSS rally in Nagpur, Bhagwat criticized “cultural Marxists” and “woke people,” accusing them of undermining education and culture, promoting conflict, and disrupting social cohesion. He also spoke of India’s growing strength and respect on the global stage while acknowledging “sinister conspiracies” testing the country’s resolve.

Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera, in response to Bhagwat’s speech, expressed confusion about the RSS chief’s stance on diversity. “Whether he is opposing or supporting it, diversity is here. They have been trying to change it but they cannot change it,” Khera said, criticizing the RSS’s efforts to “make this country uniform.”

Khera further pointed to the RSS’s “one nation” agenda, saying, “‘One nation, one leader’, ‘one nation, one election’, ‘one nation, one language’, ‘one nation, one clothing’, ‘one nation, one food’ – all this will not work. ‘One nation, one organization’ – I am sorry, that organization is irrelevant in most parts of this country,” he stated.

Khera also dismissed Bhagwat’s comments on religion, stating that “My religion is far more superior, it cannot be hijacked by a particular organization or a particular individual. I do not think anybody has a right to become a self-appointed thekedar (contractor) of my religion.”
