**Hyderabad, India:** In a dominant display of power hitting, India thrashed Bangladesh by a massive 133 runs in the final T20I of the three-match series at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Sunday. The victory secured a clean sweep for India, who now hold the series 3-0.
India, batting first after winning the toss, amassed a record-breaking 297 runs for the loss of six wickets, setting a daunting target for the visitors. The Bangladeshi bowlers were left helpless as the Indian batsmen unleashed a barrage of boundaries, smashing 47 in total, including 22 sixes and 25 fours.
Sanju Samson was the standout performer with a blistering century, hitting eight sixes and reaching his hundred off just 40 balls. Suryakumar Yadav also contributed significantly with five sixes, while the likes of Riyan Parag, Hardik Pandya, and Rinku Singh joined the party with their own impactful contributions.
In reply, Bangladesh struggled to keep pace with the required run rate and were eventually bowled out for 164 runs in their allotted 20 overs.
This victory marks India’s second highest T20I score, falling just short of Nepal’s record. The team also broke Afghanistan’s previous record for the highest T20I score against Bangladesh.
“The team’s performance was sensational,” said a delighted Indian captain Hardik Pandya after the match. “The way we batted was exceptional, and we managed to set a target that was too high for Bangladesh to chase.”
The series win will undoubtedly boost India’s confidence ahead of their upcoming challenges, while Bangladesh will have to regroup and learn from their mistakes.
