Sun Oct 13 02:20:00 UTC 2024: ## Tom Brady on Track to Become Raiders Minority Owner

**Atlanta, GA** – Seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady is on the verge of becoming a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, according to sources. Brady’s bid to purchase approximately 10% of the team, alongside businessman Tom Wagner, was unanimously approved by the NFL’s finance committee and is expected to be officially voted on at the league’s fall owners meeting in Atlanta on Tuesday.

This move follows an agreement reached in May 2023 between Brady and Raiders owner Mark Davis. The initial offer was adjusted after the NFL’s finance committee determined it was too discounted.

“We’re excited for Tom to join the Raiders,” said Davis in May. “It’s exciting because he will be just the third player in the history of the National Football League to become an owner.”

Brady, who retired from playing in 2023 after a 23-year career, is set to begin his role as an analyst for Fox Sports in 2024 under a 10-year, $375 million contract. This ownership stake in the Raiders will make him one of the most prominent athletes to own a piece of a professional team, joining the likes of Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, and Dwyane Wade.

The NFL owners are expected to formally approve Brady’s ownership bid at Tuesday’s meeting, making it official that the legendary quarterback will be part of the Raiders’ future.
