**Mumbai, India -** Baba Siddique, a prominent politician and influential figure in Maharashtra’s political landscape, was shot dead in Mumbai’s Bandra on [Date]. The assailants fired three rounds at him, leaving him fatally wounded. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries despite medical efforts. Doctors at the hospital confirmed that he was brought in at 9:30 pm with gunshot wounds to his chest and died around 11:27 pm.

The Mumbai Police have launched an extensive investigation and are tracing the perpetrators’ whereabouts. Initial reports suggest that one of the suspects was last located in Madhya Pradesh, specifically in the Ujjain and Omkareshwar areas. The police are conducting searches in these regions and are looking into potential links to the Lawrence gang, known for supplying weapons in this area.

**Funeral Arrangements and Security:**

Baba Siddique’s funeral will be held at the Bada Kabristan in Marine Lines. Security has been heightened at the cemetery, restricting entry to only family and close friends. Salman Khan and members of the Khan family are expected to attend and pay their respects. The road leading to the cemetery has been closed for vehicular traffic.

**Police Capture Suspects:**

A brave Mumbai Police officer, API Rajendra Dabhade, apprehended two suspects involved in the shooting. Dabhade, who was deployed in Kherwadi for the Devi Visarjan procession, displayed remarkable courage by chasing down the armed attackers. Despite the commotion and the use of firecrackers by the crowd, Dabhade managed to detain two suspects, though one managed to escape.
