**Jamnagar, Gujarat:** Ajay Jadeja, a former Indian cricket captain, has been officially declared the heir to the Jamnagar Princely State. The announcement was made by the current Maharaja of Jamnagar, Jam Saheb.

Jadeja, who led India in 13 One-Day Internationals, is known for his contributions to Indian cricket. He has also represented Haryana in the Ranji Trophy. After retiring from international cricket, Jadeja has continued to be involved in the sport as a commentator and advisor.

Despite his accomplishments in the sporting world, few knew that Jadeja belonged to a royal family with a rich history. His father, Dhaulatsinhji Jadeja, was a three-time MP from Kutch, Gujarat. His relatives, Ranjitsinhji and Duleepsinhji, were also prominent cricketers. The Ranji Trophy and Duleep Trophy, two prestigious tournaments organized by the Board of Control for Cricket in India, are named after these two cricketers.
