Mumbai, India – Baba Siddique, a prominent politician and successful businessman in Maharashtra, was shot dead in a shocking incident that has left the state in shock. His family and supporters are devastated, while speculation surrounding his death continues, particularly regarding his past connection to underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.
Siddique was known for his close connections to politicians and Bollywood personalities. However, his relationship with Ibrahim reportedly turned sour after a land dispute. The controversy began with a disagreement between Siddique and Ahmed Langda, a close associate of Ibrahim, over a piece of property in Mumbai. Following the dispute, Chhota Shakeel, another key figure in Ibrahim’s network, allegedly threatened Siddique, warning him to back down or face consequences.
Despite the threats, Siddique leveraged his political connections and filed a case against Langda. The Mumbai Police responded by arresting Langda under the stringent MCOCA (Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act). In retaliation, Ibrahim reportedly called Siddique and threatened to produce a film on him, titled “Ek Tha MLA”, through director Ram Gopal Varma.
The Mumbai Police are currently investigating Siddique’s murder and have already arrested two suspects. The identity of a third suspect, believed to be from Bahraich in Uttar Pradesh, has been established and a manhunt is underway.
The circumstances surrounding Siddique’s death, particularly the alleged involvement of the underworld, have raised serious concerns about security and the impact of organized crime on Indian society. The investigation is ongoing and police are working to uncover the full extent of the conspiracy behind this tragic incident.
