Sat Oct 12 01:10:53 UTC 2024: ## “Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video” Fails to Deliver: Critics Slam Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri Starrer

**New Delhi, India:** Despite a nostalgic 90s setting and star-studded cast, the latest comedy “Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video” has been met with harsh criticism, failing to impress audiences or critics alike.

The film, directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, follows the story of Vicky and Vidya, a young couple who get married and embark on a honeymoon to Goa. Their lives take a drastic turn when a stolen video CD threatens to expose their private moments and unveils a larger video racket in the city.

While the film attempts to capture the essence of the 90s with its music and aesthetic, critics argue that the plot is weak, the humor forced, and the characters unconvincing. Rajkummar Rao, known for his portrayal of small-town characters, fails to leave a mark, while Triptii Dimri’s performance as Vidya is also criticized for lacking impact.

Veteran actors like Vijay Raaz and Mallika Sherawat, despite their presence, are hindered by poorly written roles. The film’s pacing is also criticized, with many finding the plot dragged out and lacking focus.

“The movie is a cringe fest that’s not easy to tolerate,” remarked one reviewer, questioning the film’s purpose and artistic merit. “The characters are caricatures, the dialogues are mindless, and the entire film feels stretched and irrelevant,” added another.

Despite attempts to add twists and turns and even a cameo from a saree-clad witch from the hit film “Stree,” the film ultimately fails to entertain. While fans of Rajkummar Rao and Vijay Raaz might be tempted to watch the film, critics unanimously recommend waiting for its OTT release instead.
