**Chennai, October 11, 2024:** “Vettaiyan,” the highly anticipated action thriller starring Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, and Fahadh Faasil, has crossed the ₹50 crore mark at the box office despite a significant decline in earnings on its second day.

The film, directed by TJ Gnanavel and produced by Lyca Productions, had an impressive opening day, earning over ₹30 crore, making it the second-largest opening for a Tamil film in 2024. This was only surpassed by Thalapathy Vijay’s “GOAT,” which earned approximately ₹44 crore on its opening day.

Early trade reports indicate that “Vettaiyan” is expected to see a boost in box office numbers over the weekend, fueled by the Dussehra holidays. The film boasts a star-studded cast, including Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Dushara Vijayan, and Ritika Singh.
