Fri Oct 11 21:20:00 UTC 2024: ## Raiders Tight End Michael Mayer Out for at Least Four More Games
Las Vegas Raiders tight end Michael Mayer will be sidelined for at least four more games due to a personal issue. Mayer, who was placed on the non-football illness list on Friday, has missed the team’s last two games and will be unable to return to action for the foreseeable future.
Neither Mayer nor the Raiders have publicly disclosed the specifics of his absence. The rookie tight end had recorded four catches for 21 yards in the first three weeks of the season before being sidelined.
In Mayer’s absence, fellow rookie Brock Bowers has taken over as the starting tight end. Harrison Bryant and John Samuel Shenker are also available to fill the role.
The Raiders are hoping for a swift recovery for Mayer and look forward to his return to the field soon.
