Fri Oct 11 22:03:55 UTC 2024: ## Akhilesh Yadav Condemns “Cover-Up” at JP Narayan Museum in Lucknow
**Lucknow**: Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav visited the Jayaprakash Narayan Museum in Lucknow late at night, expressing his outrage over the sealing of its entrance with iron sheets. The incident occurred ahead of the socialist leader’s birth anniversary on Friday.
Yadav, who inaugurated the museum in 2016 during his tenure as Chief Minister, accused the BJP government of trying to hide something by covering the entrance. He strongly criticized the ruling party, stating their hatred and animosity towards freedom fighters, including Jayaprakash Narayan.
The SP leader shared visuals of the entrance being concealed on social media earlier on Thursday, raising questions about the government’s intentions. He visited the museum to register his protest, having previously scaled its wall to garland a statue of Narayan on his birth anniversary last year.
The incident took place at the Jayaprakash Narayan International Centre (JPNIC) in Gomti Nagar. Yadav expressed his disappointment over the BJP’s actions and reiterated his party’s commitment to upholding the legacy of socialist leaders like Jayaprakash Narayan.
