**Lakhnau:** Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav on Friday midnight visited the Jayaprakash Narayan Museum in Lucknow and expressed outrage after finding its entrance blocked with iron sheets. The incident happened on the occasion of the socialist leader’s birth anniversary.
The SP had earlier shared images on social media showcasing the museum’s entrance being concealed by workers.
Akhilesh Yadav, who inaugurated the museum in 2016, questioned the Uttar Pradesh BJP government’s intentions behind the act. He accused the BJP of harboring hatred and animosity towards all freedom fighters, including Jayaprakash Narayan.
Last year, Yadav had climbed over the museum wall to pay tribute to the socialist leader by placing a garland on his statue.
This incident has sparked controversy, with the SP alleging that the BJP is attempting to hide the legacy of Jayaprakash Narayan.
