Sat Oct 12 04:04:21 UTC 2024: ## Central Government Employees to Receive Productivity Linked Bonus
**New Delhi:** The central government has announced a non-productivity linked bonus equivalent to 30 days’ salary for Group C and Group B non-gazetted employees for the financial year 2023-24. This was announced by the Ministry of Finance on Thursday.
The bonus will be applicable to Group C and B employees who are not covered under the productivity linked bonus scheme. The maximum salary for calculation of bonus will be capped at Rs. 7,000 per month. This benefit will also be applicable to eligible personnel in the central paramilitary forces and armed forces.
To be eligible, employees should have been in service as of March 31, 2024, and have worked for at least six months consecutively during the financial year 2023-24. The bonus will be paid based on the number of days worked.
This translates to an average bonus of Rs. 6,908 for eligible employees, and Rs. 1,184 for casual laborers who have worked for three consecutive years for 240 days each year.
