**Mumbai, India** – Ratan Tata, the renowned Indian business leader who spearheaded the Tata Group for over two decades, has died at the age of 86. The conglomerate, which boasts annual revenues exceeding $100 billion, announced his passing on Thursday.

He retired in 2012 but remained active as chairman emeritus of Tata Sons. In 2008, he was awarded the Padma Vibhushan, India’s second-highest civilian honor.
Beyond his business acumen, Tata was known for his simplicity, love for fast cars and planes, and passion for scuba diving. He was also a devoted dog lover, often speaking about the joy and sadness he experienced with his furry companions.
