Trichy, India – An Air India flight bound for Sharjah from Trichy encountered a technical malfunction shortly after take-off on Monday evening, forcing it to circle over the city for over two hours before making an emergency landing.

The flight, carrying 141 passengers, experienced issues with its landing gear, preventing them from retracting properly. The pilot, after initially descending to 2400 feet, was forced to circle for almost 2.5 hours while maintaining an altitude of 4,255 feet. As fuel levels began to dwindle, the pilot successfully landed the aircraft at Trichy airport around 8:15 PM, bringing an end to the tense ordeal for passengers.

Following the safe landing, passengers expressed relief and breathed a sigh of sigh. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the technical failure.
