**Trichy, Tamil Nadu:** An Air India Express flight that experienced technical difficulties with its landing gear was forced to make an emergency landing at Trichy International Airport on Wednesday evening, causing a tense few hours for passengers and officials.

The flight, AXB613, was scheduled to depart from Trichy to Sharjah at 5:40 PM with 141 passengers onboard. However, shortly after takeoff, the aircraft’s hydraulic system malfunctioned, prompting the pilot to return to Trichy.

Following the incident, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, who was monitoring the situation closely, issued a statement commending the pilot and crew for their professionalism and swift action. “I have been informed of the incident and have been in touch with the officials. We have ensured all necessary measures, including the deployment of fire engines, ambulances, and medical assistance. The district collector has been instructed to provide all necessary assistance to the passengers. My congratulations to the Captain and the crew for a safe landing,” he said in an official statement.

The flight successfully landed at 8:10 PM after a tense period of anticipation. All passengers are reported to be safe, and the incident is currently being investigated by aviation authorities.
