Fri Oct 11 00:08:57 UTC 2024: ## AAP-BJP War of Words Escalates in Delhi Over CM’s Residence

**New Delhi:** The political temperature in Delhi has risen again, with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) accusing the BJP of forcibly evicting Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal from his official residence at Flagstaff Road.

On Thursday, Delhi CM Kejriwal alleged that the BJP, unable to digest their electoral defeat, is trying to occupy the CM’s official residence out of frustration. “The BJP is under pressure because they couldn’t defeat us in the elections. They are desperate and have resorted to such tactics,” said Kejriwal, who is currently functioning from his new residence.

He added that the AAP is not interested in bungalows or luxurious cars and that its leaders are prepared to work even from the streets if needed.

The BJP has vehemently denied the AAP’s claims, calling them mere drama and an attempt to garner public sympathy. “The BJP has no plans to occupy any official residence,” stated Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva. He added that the Flagstaff Road bungalow is not the official CM residence, and that Kejriwal already has a bungalow at Mathura Road.

The BJP further criticized the AAP for sharing pictures of Kejriwal signing files on boxes filled with his belongings, claiming that it is just a publicity stunt. “The CM should be working from his official office in the Delhi secretariat. Instead, AAP is trying to garner sympathy by portraying Kejriwal as a victim,” stated a BJP leader.

The verbal battle between the AAP and BJP over the CM’s residence has intensified the political tension in Delhi. The issue is likely to remain a focal point in the upcoming days, as both parties continue to trade accusations and counter-accusations.
