**Thiruvananthapuram, October 8th, 2024:** The much-anticipated Onam Thiruvonam Bumper BR-99 lottery draw, organized by the Kerala government, will be held on October 9th, 2024. The draw will take place at 2 PM, with a whopping ₹25 crore as the first prize. The second prize of ₹1 crore will be awarded to 20 lucky winners, while the third prize of ₹50 lakhs will be awarded to another 20 winners.
There is also a significant consolation prize of ₹5 lakhs. Lottery tickets are available in 10 series: TA, TB, TC, TD, TE, TG, TH, TJ, TK, and TL, each costing ₹500. As of October 5th, 63 lakh tickets out of 70 lakh have already been sold, with ticket sales exceeding ₹274 crores. After deducting agent commissions and GST, the state government is expected to receive approximately ₹214 crores. The total prize money, including agents’ share, is less than ₹140 crores.
