Atlanta Kings secured a resounding 60-run victory over New York Lions in a thrilling National Cricket League (NCL) clash on Wednesday. The Kings’ explosive batting duo, Sam Billings and James Neesham, spearheaded their team to a mammoth total of 153/1, leaving the Lions bowlers reeling.
Billings, who showcased his destructive abilities, smashed 66 runs off just 28 deliveries, peppering the boundary with 5 fours and 6 sixes. However, it was Neesham who stole the show, reaching a blistering 69 runs in a mere 26 deliveries, including 6 fours and 6 sixes.
The Lions bowling attack struggled to contain the onslaught, with Mohammad Hafeez conceding a whopping 51 runs in 3 overs. Tabraiz Shamsi was equally ineffective, giving away 37 runs in 3 overs. Even veteran all-rounder Suresh Raina, bowling just one over, conceded 27 runs.
