**Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala:** Renowned Malayalam actor TP Madhavan, known for his versatile performances in over 600 films and 30 television serials, passed away at the age of 87 on [Date of Death]. The veteran actor, who had retired from the film industry to seek a monastic life in Haridwar, had suffered a stroke and was later brought back to Thiruvananthapuram. He spent his final years at Gandhi Bhavan, a social service organization, where he actively participated in public programs and travelled with its founder.

Madhavan, born in 1935, graduated with a degree in Sociology and pursued a career in journalism before entering the film industry at the age of 40. He was a prominent figure in the Malayalam film fraternity, serving as the first General Secretary of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) for ten consecutive years. His son, Raja Krishna Menon, is a successful Bollywood director known for films like “Airlift” and “Chef.”

Despite his illustrious career, Madhavan harbored two unfulfilled wishes: to reunite with his son and to meet legendary Malayalam actor Mohanlal. Though the authorities at Gandhi Bhavan made efforts to facilitate these meetings, they remained unfulfilled.

Madhavan’s mortal remains are currently kept at the mortuary of Kollam N S Hospital. A public darshan will be held at Pathanapuram Gandhi Bhavan on [Date of Darshan] from 9 am to 1 pm. He will be laid to rest at Shanthikavadam in Thiruvananthapuram at 5 pm.
