**Thiruvananthapuram:** The much-awaited Onam Bumper Lottery draw commenced today at the Gorkhi Bhavan, with Finance Minister K.N. Balagopal presiding over the event. This year, the first prize carries a whopping 25 crore rupees, making it the biggest prize in the state’s lottery history.
The draw for the first prize was conducted by Minister Balagopal, while V.K. Prasanth MLA conducted the draw for the second prize. A total of 25 individuals will be awarded a second prize of 1 crore rupees each.
The third prize for the Onam Bumper this year is 50 lakh rupees. The fourth and fifth prizes are worth 5 lakh rupees and 2 lakh rupees respectively, with the consolation prize being 500 rupees.
In addition to the Onam Bumper, the Finance Minister also unveiled the “Pooja Bumper”, another lottery with a special feature. The Pooja Bumper, priced at 300 rupees, offers a second prize of 1 crore rupees for each of the five series. The draw for this bumper will take place on December 4th.
