Tue Oct 08 09:31:26 UTC 2024: ## IPL Star Mayank Yadav Makes Steady Debut Despite Pace Dip

**Dhaka, Bangladesh:** IPL sensation Mayank Yadav made his highly anticipated India debut in the first T20I against Bangladesh on Sunday. While the “Gatimaan” (Speedster) didn’t quite reach his record-breaking pace of 156.7 kmph seen during the IPL, he still impressed with deliveries ranging from 135 kmph to 150 kmph.

Former India cricketer Aakash Chopra explained the potential reason for the slight dip in speed. “He hadn’t played cricket for four months. He was coming back after an injury,” Chopra stated in a YouTube video. “There were a few butterflies in his stomach, a little nervous energy, and he was focusing on his body, not pushing himself too hard.”

Despite the slight dip, Yadav showcased his raw talent, claiming his maiden international wicket and bowling a maiden over in his debut. However, Chopra cautioned, “He still needs some time before he can truly unleash his exceptional skills to their full potential. But he bowled at a good pace and showed he has all the ingredients to become a top-class bowler.”

Yadav will be looking to build on his positive debut and add more wickets to his tally as the series progresses. India’s coaching staff is expected to give the young pacer the time and space he needs to hone his skills and reach his full potential.
