Mon Oct 07 11:11:25 UTC 2024: ## Chakravarthy’s “Rebirth” Leads India to Dominant T20I Victory Over Bangladesh

India cruised to a comfortable 7-wicket victory over Bangladesh in the first T20I match in Gwalior on Sunday. The win was highlighted by the impressive performance of mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy, who made a triumphant return to the Indian side after a three-year absence.

Chakravarthy, who was playing his first T20I since the 2021 World Cup, showcased his talent with a sensational spell, bagging three crucial wickets of Towhid Hridoy, Rishad Hossain, and Jakir Ali. He finished with figures of 3/21, demonstrating his ability to bounce back from a shaky first over where he conceded 15 runs.

Speaking about his comeback, Chakravarthy described it as a “rebirth” after facing challenges and being written off during his time away from the Indian team. He emphasized the hard work and persistence required to return to the national squad.

“After three long years, it was definitely emotional for me, and it feels nice to be back in the Blues, it feels like a rebirth,” he said. “You need to stay in the highest level, again and again, you need to keep knocking the door. Thankfully, this time it happened, and hopefully, I can keep continuing my good work.”

The victory marked a strong start for India in the series. Other bowlers who contributed significantly to the win include Arshdeep Singh, who also took three wickets.
