**Abu Dhabi:** A maiden ODI century from Tristan Stubbs powered South Africa to a resounding 174-run victory over Ireland in the second ODI, clinching the series for the Proteas.

South Africa, batting first after winning the toss, amassed an imposing 343/4 in their 50 overs. Stubbs, who reached his century off just 75 balls, was the star of the show, smashing 112 not out, and receiving support from Kyle Verreynne (67).

The Irish bowling attack struggled to contain the South African onslaught, with Stubbs and Verreynne putting on a century stand. Despite a couple of early wickets, South Africa’s top six contributed significantly to the impressive total.

Ireland’s chase never got going, collapsing to 169 all out in 30.3 overs. Lizaad Williams, who had taken four wickets in the first ODI, continued his dominance with another three-wicket haul, leaving Ireland reeling at 44/4.

The Irish batsmen struggled against the South African bowling attack, with only Craig Young (29) offering any resistance. Six South African bowlers took wickets, highlighting the team’s depth and the complete performance on display.

This comprehensive victory ensures South Africa’s dominance over Ireland, cementing their position as the superior team in this series.
