**Bilaspur:** In a heartwarming gesture, the South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) has announced a Diwali bonus for its employees, bringing cheer ahead of the festival. Over 36,000 SECL employees will receive a total of approximately 295 crores, with each employee receiving 93,750 rupees in the form of a performance-linked reward.

This marks a significant increase from the 85,000 rupees bonus distributed last year, representing a growth of over 10%. The bonus has seen a remarkable five-fold increase since 2010, when employees received 17,000 rupees.

The bonus payout is part of a broader initiative by Coal India Limited (CIL), where over 2 lakh employees across its subsidiaries and Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) are set to receive a total of 1850 crores. The decision was finalized at a recent meeting in Delhi, where CIL management and union representatives met to determine the bonus amount.

Employees have expressed their joy and gratitude towards the management for the timely disbursement of the bonus, which will undoubtedly contribute to a joyous Diwali celebration.
