The project involved a complete overhaul of the airport, including a new runway, ATC tower, ARFF block, hangar, cargo facilities, and passenger terminal building.

The two leaders also held extensive talks, charting a new path for future bilateral relations. President Muizzu’s visit marks his first official bilateral trip to India since taking office.
