Mon Oct 07 17:52:24 UTC 2024: ## Coal India Employees Receive Bumper Diwali Bonus: 93,750 Rupees for Each Worker

**Dhanbad:** In a move sure to bring cheer to employees ahead of Diwali, Coal India has announced a generous bonus of ₹93,750 for each of its 2.42 lakh employees. This decision was made following a seven-hour meeting between management and unions at Coal Bhavan in New Delhi on Sunday.

The bonus represents an increase of ₹8,250 from the previous year’s ₹85,500. This benefit will also extend to workers of Singareni Collieries Company, which has a similar agreement with Coal India.

The decision comes on the back of a strong financial year for Coal India, which recorded a profit of ₹37,369 crore in FY 2023-24. This robust performance has allowed the company to reward its employees with a significant Diwali bonus.

While this bonus is specifically for Coal India employees, it further fuels speculation about a possible Diwali bonus for all central government employees.
