**Mumbai, India** – Ratan Tata, the former chairman of Tata Sons, has allayed concerns after reports of his hospitalization emerged. In a statement, the 86-year-old business magnate clarified that he is “fine” and was admitted for routine check-ups due to his age.

Earlier reports had suggested that Tata was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Breach Candy Hospital on Monday after experiencing a drop in blood pressure.

Ratan Tata, born on December 28, 1937, is the great-grandson of Jamsetji Tata, the founder of the Tata Group. He served as the chairman of the conglomerate from 1990 to 2012 and as interim chairman from October 2016 to February 2017. He currently heads the Tata Group’s charitable trusts.

Tata is known for transforming the Tata Group, expanding its reach by acquiring companies like Air India, as well as the luxury car brands Land Rover and Jaguar from Ford. His leadership and business acumen have left an enduring legacy on the Indian business landscape.
