**Gwalior, India** – Indian all-rounder Shivam Dube found himself in a tricky situation during a recent appearance on the Kapil Sharma Show. Asked by the host to choose between his favourite captains, MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma, Dube delivered a witty response that had the audience, host, and fellow cricketers in stitches.
“When I am playing for Chennai, MS Dhoni is the best, when I am playing for India, Rohit Sharma is the best,” Dube quipped.
Rohit Sharma, seated on the panel, reacted with amusement, asking Dube if he practiced such responses beforehand.
Dube’s appearance on the show comes as he recovers from a back injury that sidelined him from the ongoing T20I series against Bangladesh. He was replaced by 21-year-old Tilak Varma, who is making his return to the international stage after impressing in the domestic circuit and the IPL.
Varma, known for his aggressive batting style and ability to handle pressure, will be looking to solidify his place in India’s middle order. He joins the team in Gwalior ahead of the first T20I on Sunday.
