**Gainesville, TX** – Cooke County residents came together Tuesday evening for a vibrant National Night Out celebration at the Farmers Market. The event, which drew a large crowd, offered a unique opportunity for community members to engage with local organizations and learn about the vast array of services available.

Over a dozen organizations set up booths, showcasing their work and offering information on how they serve the county. This included representatives from the Local Outreach for Suicide Survivors Team (LOSS), Abigail’s Arms, All Babies Born Alive, Boys and Girls Club, Court Appointed Special Advocates, Cooke County Emergency Medical Services, Cooke County Sheriff’s Department, Gainesville Fire and Rescue, Gainesville Independent School District Police, Gainesville Police Department, North Texas Medical Center, Texoma Workforce Solutions, United Way, and Volunteers in Service to Others (VISTO).

“It’s showing our community that there is emergency services available that some you don’t know about,” said Jace Bridwell, highlighting the event’s importance in raising awareness. Johnna Green, a member of the LOSS Team, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the value of connecting with the community and showing residents that they have a place to turn for help.

Bekki Jones, VISTO director, praised the event as a fantastic demonstration of the strong partnerships within the community. “Gainesville always comes together, they work well together, and it just shows how involved everybody is with our growth,” she said.

The event was a success, with residents showing enthusiastic participation in learning about the diverse services available and the organizations dedicated to serving Cooke County.
